My Golf GTI-6( bought on March 12) was stolen in the night of 15th/16th December-13 from Den Haag
From the video capture of my neighbor, it was driven away just in 2 minutes time.
I am wondering how this is possible with both of my keys with me and in just two minutes.
Any thoughts how this can be stolen so quickly ? It was bought by me first hand.
BTW, I had also ALarm-3 installed by Volkswagen.
So if it is so easy to steal GTIs does it make sense to even consider GTI 7 ?

Re: Vokswagen Golf GTI 6 Stolen
Dear All,
Thanks for all your replies so far,
From various postings earlier I found that another GTI was also stolen on 16th Night,
I am shocked, I never expected this on such an expensive car, even my Microsoft Windows password cant be cracked in 2 minutes.
Its time Car industry takes some lessons from Computers and Networks security designs, where multiple level of securities are in place.
So even if one system is compromised other becomes difficult.
e.g The generation of key codes should use, some password set by user.
I am wondering if GTI 7 has same flaws...
